Progress Report
Dedication Saturday, November 7, 2009
This was a glorious day with comfortable temperatures and bright sunshine. A large group of Habitat volunteers, supporters and family members gathered outside the house and on the front deck for this happy event. The young children who will be living in the house gave moving thanks for this opportunity to have their own home. Pastor Ernie Mossl blessed the new home.

Wednesday, May 20 2009
Great progress had been made in the past week, helped by good weather.
The side bedroom has been framed out and the sheathing is half-complete. Holes for concrete piers for the front and side decks were dug by hand. The interior supports for the house were too high and had to be lowered by 1/2”

Wednesday, May 13 2009 The house has landed!
The house was picked up from the BOCES facility in Goshen, NY and delivered to the site yesterday.
Today was a perfect weather day, sunny and clear with temperatures in the 60s.
The moving company threaded heavy steel cables through the base of each piece of the house and used a crane to set each piece on the foundation. The spacing was very tight and the crane operator was impressive in his ability to move each 25,000lb piece inches at a time.
